Physical therapy as effective as surgery for lumber spinal stenosis

I found this article very interesting. I have a lot of patients that have had one or more lumbar spine surgeries. All too often they tell me they never tried physical therapy prior to having surgery. My thought is if therapy doesn’t help, you can always go and have surgery, but you can’t ever undo a surgery. Once it’s done, it’s done. Better to exhaust all the more non-invasive options first.

Check out the article related to the study here.
