AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill

Gait Training
Improving independence in your own mobility is not only a way to reduce the likelihood of a fall and/or a fracture, but also of helping to improve your quality of life. We will help you increase your mobility through activity and knowledge, and will provide advice for how to maintain mobility at home.
Aquatic Therapy
Aquatic therapy is perfect for those looking to ease into physical therapy, or who experience pain when moving. Our team has the knowledge and training to help you reach your physical therapy and health goals with the use of our aquatic therapy pool.
Our Endless Pool® is heated and has a variable speed underwater treadmill and water current generator. Therapy jets are also available to help alleviate pain. The pool also has a patient lift, making it easy for patients to get in and out of the pool, even those who experience limited mobility. These options add a whole new dimension to typical pool exercises. More information here.

Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is a hands-on approach to care, which allows the therapist to feel and treat the specific tissues affected. By incorporating joint mobilization, we can help you find relief and increased range of motion. Unlike a traditional massage, our therapists will help you improve muscle elasticity through proper stretching and kneading techniques.
Biodex Balance System SD
Our Biodex Balance System SD is a great tool for determining fall risks and for improving balance, postural control, and agility. It allows us to find potential balance issues and pinpoint the underlying causes.
The sense of balance comes from 3 major components: vision, vestibular input (inner ear), and proprioception (awareness of self in space). We are able to score these individual components and quantify their impact. From there, we can develop a treatment plan that’s customized to your needs. With different training protocols, the Biodex Balance System SD can also be used for treatment. Watch Video>>

Blood Flow Restriction Rehabilitation
Blood Flow Restriction Rehabilitation (BFR) has become a forerunner as one of the newest training methods for rehab and performance. Research continues to support the use of BFR for strength and hypertrophy gains. According to Owens Recovery Science, “Blood Flow Restriction(BFR) Rehabilitation is the brief and intermittent occlusion of blood flow using a tourniquet while exercising.” This technique allows individuals to exercise with lighter weight while still creating hypertrophy (growth) and strength response. In a traditional setting, hypertrophy and strength response in muscles only occur with lifting heavy weights. Using Blood Flow Restriction, endurance and strength are gained even though a lighter load is being used. This is clinically significant, because patients are often unable to do heavy lifting due to their condition.
